After the installation of the worm gear butterfly valve is completed and put into operation, it is important to pay attention to the maintenance and upkeep of the worm gear butterfly valve. Only by carrying out daily maintenance and upkeep can the worm gear butterfly valve be guaranteed
To maintain normal and stable work for a long time, our production work will not be affected.
Here are a few small suggestions for the maintenance of worm gear butterfly valves:
1. For idle valves, they should be stored in a dry, ventilated, and cool place, and the valve passage should be blocked at both ends to prevent dust and impurities from entering.
2. Regularly inspect the valve, apply rust proof oil on the outer surface of the valve body, and promptly clean the dirt on the valve body.
3. After installation, the valve needs to undergo regular maintenance to ensure its normal and stable operation. The parts that need maintenance are:
a. Is there any wear on the sealing surface of the valve? If there is wear, it should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
b. Whether the trapezoidal thread wear of the valve stem and valve stem nut is severe, and whether the packing is outdated and ineffective. Once the problem is found, necessary replacement should be carried out in a timely manner.
C. Regularly inspect the sealing of valves and promptly address any leaks found.
d. The valve should be intact as a whole, including all bolts on the flange and bracket, ensuring that the threads are not damaged or loose.
If the external environment where the valve is located is relatively harsh and susceptible to adverse weather conditions, a protective cover should be installed on the valve.
5. Keep the scale on the valve complete, accurate, and clear.
6. Do not strike or knock on valves that are working in the pipeline, and do not support heavy objects.
